Took this picture today in the late afternoon sunshine of Rhuddlan Castle (pronounce rithlan) it was one of Edward 1st ring of steel castles to keep us pesky welsh in check.it has the river Clwyd in front of it,it is still tidal here,it used to flow against the castle walls so that ships with supplies could unload without fear of attack
